If you have a tip or something sensitive to share, the safest way to reach me is Signal, a free messaging app with end-to-end encryption. Signal keeps phone numbers private by default, so messaging my username won’t show me your number.

How to message me

1. Install Signal from signal.org or your phone’s app store.
2. Tap Message me on Signal above. Or start a new chat, choose Find by username, and enter my username.
3. For extra privacy, turn on disappearing messages in the chat settings.

A few precautions are worth taking: use a personal phone rather than one issued by your employer, and avoid contacting me from a work network or account.
